At our hotel, we believe that giving back to the communities we operate in is not just a responsibility; it’s a heartfelt commitment that has been ingrained in our values from the beginning. Over the years, we have embarked on numerous community service and charity projects aimed at making a positive impact on the lives of those in need. These initiatives are a testament to our dedication to creating a better future for the communities we serve.
We recently celebrated a remarkable milestone in our ongoing commitment to community service. This journey began in June 2019 with the inception of the “Dorms of Dreams” project, an initiative that holds a special place in our hearts. The primary objective of this project was to provide housing and educational facilities for students from remote mountain villages. Fast forward to September 2023, and we’re thrilled to announce the successful completion of a significant expansion of the Dorms of Dreams facilities at Háng Đồng Primary and Secondary School in Sơn La Province. This expansion has now made it possible for an additional 400 students to access quality education, unlocking new opportunities for these young minds in need. We take immense pride in being part of their journey towards a brighter and more promising future.
Building Projects
Our commitment to community development extends beyond education. In December 2010, we constructed a kitchen, dining room, and toilet facilities at Thinh Dai Pagoda in Kim Bang District. This endeavor provided much-needed amenities for children and staff, improving their living conditions. In October 2013, we built a playground complete with swings, seesaws, and trees at Ta Mung in Lai Chau Province, fostering play and recreation for the local children. Additionally, from January 2018 to June 2018, we built a bridge connecting 400 people in Cai A village, Son La Province, to essential services and opportunities, enhancing their quality of life.
Health Initiatives
Our commitment to community service extends to health initiatives. In April 2009, we visited The Center for Disabled Children at Ngoc Son village, Chuong My district, Hanoi, providing clothes and gifts for 81 disabled children. In April 2014, we visited Ba Sao Leprosy Camp, helping to change perceptions about leprosy and donating gifts to improve the lives of the elderly residents. In January 2016, we visited The Center for Disabled Children in Bac Giang Province, supplying essential items to enhance their living standards and sharing a warm meal with the children. Similarly, in January 2017, we visited Hoang Tien Leprosy Camp, worked to change perceptions about leprosy, and donated water tanks and gifts to improve the quality of life for 130 elders.
Educational Initiatives and Community Outreach
Education is at the heart of our community outreach efforts. Since 2008, we have regularly visited orphanages, pagodas, disabled children’s centers, and leprosy camps, donating gifts and necessities while building valuable relationships with isolated communities. Since 2011, we have been dedicated to supporting children’s education and academic progress by donating books, school supplies, and learning materials to preschools and primary schools in rural areas.
In August 2018, we constructed two classrooms, a teacher’s room, lighting, water and electricity lines at Na Tuom School in Ha Giang Province, creating a conducive learning environment. We also paved the playground and installed gates to enhance the safety and accessibility of the school.
