Job Description

Join our crucial Loss Prevention team as a Security Guard specializing in Staff Check Point control. This vital role ensures the security and integrity of all internal access points, controlling the movement of staff, contractors, and hotel properties. The Guard will operate under the Shift Leader’s direction, maintaining strict adherence to all security protocols to prevent theft and unauthorized access.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in a Security role.

    • Desirable: Familiarity with hotel premises and products; Strong security training background.

    • Advantage: Graduated from or completed Military/Police service.

  • Language: ENGLISH speaking is highly encouraged for the Security Guard position. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.

  • Professional Integrity: Must have no personal relationship with any current hotel staff members, contractors, or suppliers.

  • Technical Skills: Computer literacy is required.

  • Age: Between 25 and 40 years old.

  • Work Condition: Full-time employment with shifts as per the duty roster.

Application

  • To conduct careful work shift handling procedures. Be fully equipped with two-way radio, scan stick, and check card machine, essential tools for effective Security Protocols.

  • To check all corners and blind spots at the basement and behind it. Coordinate with the previous shift to identify and clear all unknown items, luggage, or improperly parked vehicles on the premise. Inform the Shift Leader if a serious case requires clarification.

  • The staff must maintain full, detailed information on the in-house guest number, VIPs, and the names, number, and locations of scheduled functions, meetings, or weddings during the work shift. Recheck and confirm with the Shift Leader if necessary.

  • To perform daily access control checks on all doors and ensure they are only opened according to the designated work time.

  • To inform Engineering and the Security Shift Leader immediately if something unusual occurs with the Underground Tank, Drainage, or Generator Room.

  • Control Hotel staff in and out. Ensure every person and every item, including money or Hotel properties, passes the Staff Check Point only after being checked and confirmed to follow all Hotel policies and instructions. Make a detailed report if necessary.

  • To coordinate with Purchasing, Store, and Kitchen to control items, goods, and food brought in and out by the suppliers. To control and stand by at all times when contractors are clearing the rubbish room, whether night or day, for maximum Loss Prevention.

  • To control and guide employee applicants, outside workers, contractors, and function/meeting/wedding customers passing through the Staff Check Point. Ensure required documents (Visitor card, Worker card, Supplier card, etc.) are issued.

  • To log down in detail and report to a higher level every part of the work shift, including the movement of all people, declared money, goods, food, and properties moving through the Check Point.

  • Coordinate with staff in front to conduct traffic and car parking behind the basement during big functions, weddings, V-Kool service, or peak hours. Control incoming cars, verifying the purpose of parking and the type of service the customer requires, and guide them to the correct outlet accordingly.

  • To immediately stop highly suspicious things, luggage, or people attempting to bring items into the building via the basement. Call for support from the Shift Leader and others if needed, adhering to strict Security Protocols.

  • Closely maintain contact with staff at CCTV, Front Security, and the motorbike parking area to ensure comprehensive access control and surveillance around the basement area.
